Well after my z sitting for 4 years I finally got into gear and decided to get it going. Got a new wiring harness for it, got the motor tranny and everything back together and it runs again for the first time in 4 and a half years so I'm pretty happy about that. To start off it's got a horrible idle(just really bouncy) when it's warmed up. Changed the aac, set base idle this improved it slightly but not much. Cleaned the throttle bodies with another little gain but still not great. Then took it for a little spin lots of black smoke. So ohmed the injector and #6 is way out of spec. Pull the plenum replace that. That seemed to help alot with the hesitation it had at higher rpm. So it's running not bad I decided to take it into Edmonton one day last week to see how it was running first long drive besides up and down the road. Now I really discover how rich it's running(odometer read 120 miles I got on a full tank) so now I'm thinking Ive got perhaps leaky orings? Perhaps more bad injectors. I just changed the 02 sensors. Perhaps fuel pressure regulator. Also some times while slowing down I'll get a slight backfire. I'm not sure I'm just running out of ideas and am sick of searching over the past couple weeks and need some more input. Perhaps I've overlooked something more simple.
